Khxos
KHXOS is a prolific multi-talented Jamaican-born artist who creates music that’s designed to stand the test of time. Born Oshane Logan in the parish of St. Elizabeth and migrating to the US as a teenager, KHXOS has been in the music game for almost 10 years. He landed in Queens, New York in 2008 and met up with producers Lamar ‘LMR Pro’ Reynolds and Chevaughn Davis of One Time Records; ‘hang out’ sessions turned into creative ones and thus his journey began. Two years later he met up with Grammy Award winning producer Sean Alaric, who was very interested in his sound. In 2016 he released his first official single ‘One Touch’, produced by KrisBeatz and the success of that song further propelled him to create more. He then released his debut album ‘Dopamine’ in 2018 and the ‘Melanin’ EP the following year, which was a celebration of black beauty. That same year included collaborations with Stalk Ashley (“Feelings”) as well as an appearance on Konshens’ ‘Badman Vs. Nice Guy’ project, on the track “Space Flight.” His (2019) summer release, ‘Tambrin’, also quickly made its way into hit status; produced by Track Starr, the scorching dancehall banger gained its legs on social media after Jamaican Instagram comedians began posting videos of themselves singing along to Khxos’ falsetto hook. It wasn’t long before DJs from New York’s Bobby Konders (Hot 97) to Jamaica’s Chromatic Sound crew gravitated to the track, cementing its status as a must-play tune.
