Austin Richard Post, known professionally as Post Malone, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He has become known for and has gained recognition for his blending of various genres including hip-hop, pop, R&B, trap, and country. His stage name was created when he inputted his birth name into a rap name generator.
He began his musical career in 2011, and began to gain recognition with his 2015 debut single "White Iverson", which peaked at number 14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. He then signed with Republic Records and then released his debut studio album Stoney, which peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and included the diamond-certified single "Congratulations". His second album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, debuted atop the Billboard 200 and set numerous streaming records. It contained the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Rockstar" and "Psycho", and was nominated for Album of the Year at the 61st Grammy Awards.
